Our Story

In early 1990, creating an on-going foundation became the new idea giving substance to the St. Luke Hospital and Living Center expansion. Tax-deductible donations to the new building project and equipment needs of the facility were a way to show pride and encouragement toward the quality healthcare offered in this community.

To express their thankfulness to donors, the Foundation erected a bronze "tree of life.' It is adorned with brass leaves identifying those who have gifted St. Luke over the years. Those who donate $1,000 to $5,000 receive their name on an inscribed brass leaf. If $5,000 to $10,000 is given, the donor is honored with a brass stone at the base of the tree. A larger stone is used for those substantial gifts in excess of $10,000.

Charitable gifts have given the Foundation even more potential for maintaining and improving the programs and services of St. Luke. Your contribution will help ensure the future growth in technology and the quality of patient care offered at St. Luke Hospital and Living Center.
